By being completely filled with grease, water will not be able to condensate which means no more corrosion on the bearings when properly maintained. These assemblys have a Shielded Grease Fitting for easy lubrication of bearings with a grease gun. It is recommended to use standard grease such as #2 for re-lubrication of axle or something similar. Purgeable Seals – When grease is seen slightly coming out of the seal, this lets the end user know the axle assembly is full. This style of seal also allows moisture or contaminants to purge out of the assembly but cannot re-enter. Front & Rear Idler assemblys have been upgraded to a double stack tapered bearing for a total of four bearings. Durability is now increased greatly over the factory axle assemblies.
